From what I have seen and read 7 - 10 FPS.

A good comparison is the 1900XT 512 vs the 1900XT 256. There is one in the video section of anand. Here is a link

Thanks guys. I was looking for some benchmarks at TomsHardware and their card descriptions don't seem to match up.

I am thinking about getting a X1950XT 256 now for $245.

So how is the X1950XT 256mb vs the X1950PRO 512MB? Anyone seen these 2 benched?

48 shaders > 36 shaders :p

I went with the XT, but I would wait for the mid-range G80 parts unless you need a replacement ASAP (like I did).

Is the X1950Pro a worthwhile upgrade over a 7800GT? A new card will cost me $149.

EDIT: BBATI 256MB version.

I would not do it. Going from a 7800GT, the only cards I would consider worth an upgrade would be an 8800GTS or 8800GTX. Even the X1950XTX is not faster by enough of a margin for me to consider it worth it.

Those two mentioned cards should be like night and day difference.

wow... the x1800xt is considerably faster than than a 7800GT, let alone the x1950xt.. not to mention the 79xx series GT and above being much faster as well... the latter offer almost 2x the performance of a 7800GT

Yeah I did compare some benchmarks and thought it might be a good opportunity. I figured I could sell my 7800GT for around $150 and pick up the x1950pro.
