X1900XTX

From reading online I got an impression that most cards are the best when it comes to those that created the card such as ATI is better than Club3D's version. I was wondering if this is the case for the X1900XTX.

As of right now, I can get a MSI X1900XTX for around $320 (averages around $470) . I see elsewhere that a ATI X1900XTX can be had at $375 (averages around $400). I see others such as Shapphire slightly below ATi's, Connected3D slightly above. What I'm tring to get at is it just the retailers aren't lowering the price of the other makers as much as ATI or they were meant to be priced above ATI with Sapphire being an exception. So people would be paying more for a less superior card.

On the side note, do you think that $320 is a good price for the MSI X1900XTX? (I find it odd that the core clock is only 625Mhz)

Thank you in advance, and sorry if something doesn't make sense. I will try to clarify something if it doesn't make sense.

Some are known to have better overclocking potential than others, but even that is, I think, more dependent on the slab of silicon you happen to get. It is important to note thought that the actual "ATI" branded cards are rumored to have the best memory for the X1900's. I'm not sure if this will be the case with the X1950's.
