Looking at the 1600x1200 4xAA and bench marks it's quite amazing how well the x1800xt keeps up with the 7800GTX 512. With Cat 6.2 the x1k cards get even more of a performance boost. The old 7800GTX simply gets killed.

Very true, these new CAT's do wonders evidently.

My X1900 XTX and entire new PC rig arrived today, but NO case!!! Aarghh!
Apparently they're out of stock, so I have to wait even longer now to get my PC set up :(

Cant wait to bench and OC the XTX.

THere's something not right there.
At 1280x1024, the score for the GTX512 goes UP when FSAA and AF are added from 36fps to 40fps.

Am I not reading that correctly?

The R520 was released late due to the very known production issues. It was slated to arrive right along the 7800series. According to nvidia, 7800series were a whole new series, not just a refresh as clearly evident by the introduction of Gamma and Transparency AA along with might higher performance. The 7900's will be a refresh of the 7800's though.

They are talking about 512MB GTX losing to X1800XT and if I recall correctly 512MB GTX was paper launched a good month after X1800XT.
