X1900xtx overclocking question

I've been using ati tool for a while and it seems to crash often when i switch out of 3D mode from a game. never crashes in game..

So i want to switch to the tool from Driverheaven. But the problem is does that tool change the voltage for the 3 D clock automatically?

And do i need to run it prior to playing a game, or does it set the clocks so the game will automatically go to that clock.

I have been using radeon 1900xtx for a few days and my comp never crashes, hung maybe twice but then my power supply is inadeqaute.

I'm trying to answer OP's question, but, what does your post mean? Not really sure, sorry.

And did you ever get your X1900XTX to work?

ATI Tool seems to work fine for me. What games is it crashing in? You could try adding the game exe manually to the 3D detection list and see if that helps.

ATI Tool is a disaster for BF2, and its generally unstable in my experience, I don't even use it. I use rivatuner but cannot adjust volts. I'm hoping ATI Tool comes out as a more stable version soon

yea,, i try the one at driver heaven and was testing it today cuz schools like 3 days from out "highschool graduation" so i'm not even going.. So anyhow,, the Overclock tool from driver heaven loosens the memory timings WAY too much, you get a higher memory clock but that doesn't make up for the loose timings at all.

With ATI tool the overclocking is better because it keeps the ram timings closer.

So fuk that.

ALSO rooting for a better version of ATI- TOOL..
and ofcourse water cooling coming.
