I thought the problem might go away, but it didn't. Have had the x1900xtx for about 2 weeks now, and since i got it like the keys would stick sometimes i don't know why?

Keys on the keyboard?

nono guys, I'm actually quite sure it is because the ATI setting for D3D frames rendering ahead is defaulted higher than nvidias/ almost sure that this is the problem.

Like You press a key down, it just keeps going in that direction and won't let go, until a few seconds later. I encountered this similar problem when i changed the D3D setting for "max frames to render ahead" to 1000 for kix. So does anyone know where to change this setting or an alternative way to fix this problem. THX

In Ati cards it's called "Flip Queue Size", and you can adjust it using Ati Tray Tools. The default setting is "Undefined", so if you changed it to anything else, that could be the cause of the problem.

I doubt it has anything to do with rendering frames ahead.

I assume you have tried running your rig at stock speeds?

LOL actually no,, i overclock everything from monitor to mouse. never had anythign on stock. even prior to installing windows.

I also have the same problem sometimes with my X1800XT, though that is also overclocked using ATI's Overdrive. I have tested the overclock overnight using 3DMark 06. I think it is a driver issue or some setting issue. Please post a solution if somebody figures this issue out. Mostly it happens in CS Source and no my latency was below 20ms.

I've noticed that if i set the Flip Queue size to 1 it does it LESS, and if i set it to ZERO it crashes occassionally. Still not a complete fix

how do you OC a monitoe or mouse. i'd really like to know .

thanks.

NO, not parody,, and to oc ur monitor u just use ur gcard to run up the hz. and for the mouse you change the XP USB registry to make it run 5x the rate.

If you haven't tried stock speeds why are you wasting everyone's time by trying to get them to diagnose hardware that you choose to run out of spec?
