Lets hope those are real, that would be pretty awesome!

*As in that the performance increases shown in 3dMark are reflected in games like COD2 and FEAR

When will the NDA be lifted?

Hexus says they've had cards for two weeks. Reviews are written, waiting to be posted.

Those scores are about 50% better than yours. That's a hell of a lot in the world of 3Dmark scores. Sorry bud.

I'm talking about the x1900 xtx only 3000 higher even with a much better cpu, if I had a x2 CPU I'd only be 2k points behind

Yes, and they got 9085 in 06. If you think your score is anywhere remotely competitive with that, you're sadly mistaken.

Two X1900's to get a score of 9000 in 3dmark06! Nuts! What is the world coming to.

Sure the numbers are higher than anything out there, but this is a pretty absurd situation the video card market is in in general. The 7800GTX didn't last long as top dog; X1800 series much less still.

considering I only paid $460 for both of my cards, and a $190 cpu, I think that x1900 xtx cf + a $500 4400+ duelcore could be better. That score can't justify for huge load of money ppl gotta pay to get it.

Think about it from a money prospect. Two $300 cards with a $200 cpu vs what, ~$1100 in cards (or more) and a $400 CPU. Thats over twice the money for 50% gain in speed. Now don't get me wrong, those scores are definitly impressive and computer parts are all about dimishing returns as you go for the best of the best but the previous poster still has a point.

And 3Dmark is synthetic. My 7800GT does VERY well in 3Dmark06 beating out a number of ATI cards that are faster in the real world. I look forward to actual game benchmarks.

You're arguing about the wisdom of buying ultra high end gear, where there's always a price premium. I don't go for that stuff either, I go for best bang for the buck which is usually found in mid-range stuff. However, that does not detract from the impressiveness of the scores that is the topic of this post.

A single one of these cards is going to beat a 7800GT SLI setup at about the same cost, and it's going to do it without the 2Xpower, 2Xnoise, 2Xheat of dual cards.

You'll never get a full 100% increase just by adding a second card. It's the same with SLI. And I don't think people that buy multi gpu setups care that they aren't getting a 100% increase in performance.
Compare the single X1900XT performance to a single 7800gt and you'll see that the extra money does in fact represent a very good performance margin compared to the price difference between the 2 cards.

http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1006807&page=2&pp=20 scroll down and look at the list, a person call paleh0rse has 7500 in 06! with 7800 gt sli setup and a opteron 170 duel-core -.- I would get almost the same score with my 7800gt sli if I had duel core too, but I can't spend 300 dollars on CPUs yet. Ur statement of single card beating 2 card just went down the drain.

Yeah with everything overclocked to the hilt. Let's wait until better drivers are out for the X1900XTX and let's compare them in actual games rather than 3Dmark. Even if it's a little slower than overclocked 7800GTs in SLI, most people would prefer the single card solution to dual cards.

Very impressive scores. This is great news for consumers! Should force nvidia to up it's game, release the G71 in mass quantities, similar prices AND perform better (hopefully). Either way, we win.

Nice to see Ati do a hard lauch with a very competitive card.

And I just bought a brand new X1800XT for $349 which is probably the best bang for your buck currently. Higher-end is always going to have a higher premium but some folks are want the best and willing to pay for it.
