X1900XT price drop

I want an X1900XT, but decided long ago I wouldn't buy one untill the price hit $200.
So my question is, will the new invidia cards force the x1900xt price down? Or am I stuck waiting untill ATI comes up with something new?

Edit: There is no "t" in idea.....

With the X1950XT already out, I doubt it's going to come down much more before it's gone from the channel.

can you even buy the x1900xts 512mb anymore? unless u mean used? used ones are selling for around $250 now which is friggin sweet considering their performance, but that largely depends on the seller.

EDIT: all the new ones on ebay are $400+, (x1900xts 512mb).

I'm looking for the 256mb verision, 512 doesn't seem to be all that much better.
Looks like it will be a while longer before they hit 200. I had thought that with newer cards at the high end, the 1900xt's would be pushed down into the main stream, instead, the upper end seems to be starting at a much higher price.

Just checked out ebay, the 256mb verision is going for $300, are people really that stupid? Newegg has them for $252 and cheaper shipping, I will never understand ebay.

I just keep on posting the same message ;(

Get a X1950PRO for a better price and close the deal. its great card, great performance, if you would wait till the X1950xt price going down, you might wait for ever because then there will be a better card you would like to wait for price dropping.

I think those dropped out of the channel about 2 months ago.

I remember because I bought one from newegg at $315 because I was trying to hit the sweet spot. It dropped just below $300 a couple days later so I was pissed. But then they went out of stock and never came back a few days later.

Sure you can -- they're called "Crossfire Edition". If you do rebates, this is $290AR, and if you do open box this is $285.

I'll check out the 1950pro.
I don't mind waiting for price drops, or using last years high end parts. My computer is for the most part a toy, so I limit the amount of money I spend on it. For me, $200 is the limit for a video card, and I will run it for at least a year and a half. It has nothing to do with what I can afford, it's all about value and whats important to me. If playing gamse was my main form of entertainment, I'd pick up a pair of 8800's without batting an eye, but since I only really play one game, and only for an hour or two a week, $200 becomes the price point.

when will tuteja1986 stop his 1900benchmark advertising? Seen it in every thread and I think he is getting paid for it...

You should check newegg next week.. they sometimes have black friday specials etc

If they don't have it next week, then you'll have to wait until after xmas.. They usually jack up prices during holiday seasons.

Yeah, beggerking that's it. FS was bought-out by HRC, that's why their benches are so wrong. Man, tuteja1986 should just stop speaking factual results....

He said he'd be doing it in another thread of the same topic. Can't say I blame him since there seems to be a dozen new threads on this subject every week ... and it's not like he's spreading propaganda, it's good info.
