Hi, I'm new here, but I am wondering if anyone has ever purchased anything from these guys, and what experiences you may have had.

Digitally Unique

I am thinking of getting this for my friend's milestone birthday that is around the corner (would really knock his socks off), but I don't want to be ordering a phantom card.

I am in Canada so I would have to get a friend to order it and then i would pick it up from him, but want to be sure before I do anything.

Thanks in advance.

I bought 2 Belkin surge protector units (from the hot deals section) a month or two ago and they seemed to be very pleasant to deal with. FWIW

Thanks for the info guys!

This is why I am a little apprehensive about ordering this:

1. It says in stock when I thought January 24th was the release date.
2. I thought MSRP was more like $599 USD, how the heck can they be seling it
for less before release date 😕

Like I said, the assumption this time is that ATi is hard launching the X1900 cards which means e-tailers already have them in stock and are waiting until Monday to put them up for sale. However, some websites start selling stuff like this early and that seems to be the case here. As soon as my 7800 gtx sells, I'm gonna pick this card up.

Someone from another forum said they called, and they had them in stock. He didnt say which store, or if it was both. Someone else ordered it, with the $10 next day upgrade charge.

edit, Keith, MSRP is just that, a suggested price. While I do agree that it hardly ever happens like this, they can sell for whatever they want.

True enough Ackmed, just caught me off guard I guess, I was not expecting anything below $600.

At the very least I am hoping all of the sites posting these for sale indicates a hard launch
of the X1900 on Monday *fingers crossed**.

man i wish a third party could have developed a universal type sli/crossfire solution becasue I have sli now and if i wanted to get crossfire i would have to buy a new MB as well

I personally thought the x1900xt would be $550 (to keep in line with xfire) at launch and XTX would be $600. But those are msrp prices so they will nodoubtably drop sometime after.

RADEON? X1900 XTX core (650MHz)
512MB GDDR3 onboard memory (1500MHz)

RADEON? X1900 XT core (625MHz)
512MB GDDR3 onboard memory (1450MHz)

These are from Sapphire, and I think that is the only difference. Now if my friend in the US would just
answer his phone so he can order one of these for me....

I really hope ATI keeps prices near $600 to a.) get back their customers and b.) put an end to the overpriced high-end card trend.
