Hey, I am going to be ordering an X1900XT tomorrow and after having a 7900gt i will probably get annoyed by the volumes the stock cooler is going to make.

i have done research on some coolers for this product (and even searched these forums and found the thread about it)

right now i am looking at these three coolers

Accelero X2

VF900

TideWater

i had put a VF700 on my 7900gt and found it to be easier then building a lego man haha. so i believe none of these three coolers should give me any troubles in terms of setup as i also built my own PC from scratch with nearly no PC experience at all :p

my question is, what is your opinion on these three coolers? the tidewater really interests me but i can't find any reviews on a high end card like an x1900xt. (there are some in the newegg reviews) one guy says it warped his PCB (i assume that is the circuit board) upon installation? i don't understand that...but another guy says it works fine.

EDIT 1: I have an CoolerMaster Centurion 5 case just so you know what my PC is like in terms of air flow. It should be fairly good as the front is all mesh and all air passes through it. I only have 1 smaller fan in front blowing on my harddrive, and a 120mm in the very back.

EDIT 2: I just thought of a good idea. If i did drop the money for the TideWater (and am worried about my PCB/VRAM getting too hott) i could probably order this Wherever PCI rack and a 80/120mm fan and adjust it to blow up onto my X1900XT all at the same time while i order these VGA RAM heatsinks.

I assume that would be the coolest/quietest method of cooling...but also the most expensive.

Hands down get the Accelero plus the Antec Super cyclone to exhaust the hot air from the X2 directly out the case. The 2 work perfect together

i have tried both the vf900 and the x2. the x2 was the best for my setup (x1900xtx in a antec p180 case with 4 120mm fans). the vf900 could not keep the xtx below 80C with full load and the x2 keeps it @ 74C or below under full load.

edit: both were set @ 100% fan speed
