X1900XT and 30A on 12v rail?

Hi,

I want to upgrade to Conroe and I need to buy another video card among other things. I am interested in the X1900 XT PCIE card. I looked at the specs and saw it required a 450W PSU and 30A on the 12v rail. I looked at my Antec NeoHE 430W specs and it gives 16A on each rails (+12v1, +12v2 and +12v3). Even though I lack 20W of power, should I be fine with that? What about the amps on the rail? I have enough amps if 2 rails are combined, but...?

Thank you

I own a X1800XT powered by Antec Neopower 480W which has 15 + 18 dual 12V rails and im fine :)

My friend owns the same powersupply with a X1900XT and has no problems as far as power goes.

More than enough juice there, I've seen OCed systems running X1900 graphics with 380w PSUs with less combined amperage than that on 12v.

You guys/gals don't help me there, I wanted a negative answer to convince me of not shelling money on a new computer. Now, I have to do it! lol

Thanks for the answers!! As always, it's appreciated.

There aren't many ATX 2.0 PSUs that actually have 30A on the +12v rail. It would have to be a single rail PSU for one.

um...under full load in 3d mode overclocked to its max, it pulls just over 30a, but my psu spec is 17a on the 12v rails, im runnin 3 hd's and 2dvd drives. only when i go to crossfire, will i need to up my psu to handle both, that one'll be 22a on both 12v rails. if your just running one video card it should be ok.
