I got the Sapphire X1900XT 256MB from newegg the other day. I am getting some lackluster performance from this card and would like to know if it is just my card/setup or if other cards are performing this way.

My 3Dmark05 score is way off, I am going to put the card on a new HD tommorow to see if it is an issue with the drivers. My rig is in my sig if you are curious.

Could ppl tell me what they are getting as far as fps during games like FEAR and CS/CSS?
Or what kind of 3dmark scores you are getting?

CSS fps @ 1440X900: 30-40
FEAR fps @ 1152X800: 30-60
3Dmark05: ~6500
3Dmark06: ~5000

Definitly something wrong there, x1900xt 256mb is supposed to be almost right behind the 512mb version in terms of performance, and those numbers look more like the performance of a x1800xl which obviously is not even close to a x1900xt 512...

Did you follow the "new video card procedure"?

edited for spelling :)

Yes I performed DriverCleaner and all the necessary precautions to make sure that the drivers are installed correctly.

is this your stress test score? If so then something is definately wrong. You stress test score with the 2400mhz and that card (even with highest video settings and aa/af on) should be easily over 100 fps. I have the same resolution with a 2600mhz cpu and an xfx 7900gt and get over 100 easy, and css uses an ati-based engine.

FEAR fps should also be ~60-80 average. You have almost the same computer as a review on the xt I saw a while back, and they got about those scores. Make sure soft shadows are turned off on FEAR a) because they look like crap b) no AA c) half the performance.
