X1900GT/SyncMaster 205BW

I am experiencing a sporatic 1 second flicker while playing motion video via the DVI connection on my Samsung Syncmaster 205BW. I have X1900GT on a HP Media PC and I am afraid that the power supply can't handle this new card & monitor combo.

I've tried updating the drivers for both card & monitor and I still get this flicker. However, no flicker via VGA connection?

Any ideas? The only thing I have left to try is to replace the pitiful 300W power supply that came with my HP M7470N Media PC. Can a weak power supply cause this type of problem? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
