I have an X1900XT and would definitely choose the 7950GT.
The stock cooler is horribly loud; the card uses way too much power; and I much, much prefer nVidia's control panel.
Where can I find out more about the R570? Is it basically just the GT with a new core and higher clocks? Also, do you think it will be better across the board than the 7950GT? I'll be playing FEAR, Oblivion, Quake 4, BF2, and COD2.Originally posted by: mikek753

in that case - can you wait for 2 weeks for ATI RV570?
That's kinda x1900GT, but on 80nm and higher clocked with MSRP $199
This card will not be faster in SM 2.0 then 7950GT, but might in SM 3.0 - IMHO.
p.s. I'm waiting for that one - hope ATI will get it soon to market.

So you're gonna spend more for less? X1900XT beats it like drum and costs less.

Hell it beats a GTX and only costs $240
Don't be stoopid.
