I'm arguing with a guy online about x1900 crossfire.
A lot of benchmark sites used the X1900XT Master Edition card and an XTX slave, which he thinks is useless since it will force the clocks back to be the same as the Master Edition card, and as thus just give XT performance.
I had an inkling this wasn't true, and the XTX was left to run at the clocks it was factory set to.
I thought the only thing crossfire syncronised was the number of shaders.
Someone with enough knowledge and/or links to benchmarks with:
X1900XT Master Edition + X1900XT slave AND X1900XT Master Edition + X1900XTX slave
Then I would be eternally grateful.
