So says someone with an ignorant, and wrong advertisement in their sig. Good job there.

Real results, with real people changes a lot of peoples decisions. Reviews do not cover everything, not even close.

my computer specs are listed below (all running stock atm) and the catalyst settings are all maxed out except AA and AF (application specific and high AF). The demo was run on 1920 x 1200 with all settings maxed out (v-sync disabled).

Also, in World of Warcraft, has anyone experienced significant FPS drop when traveling through forests after updating the driver from 6.3 to 6.4/6/5? With 6.3 drivers, the FPS is usually at around 50 to 60, but with 6.4 and 6.5 the FPS drops to 10's and low 20's when traveling through forests (i.e. flying from Stormwind to Westfall).

Another thing to mention in WoW (and only this game) - after adding the CF card, I am seeing rainbowish colors just at the egde of the screen (comes and goes - tried taking a screeny but doesnt show). Just wondering if someone knows the diagnosis of this before I start taking apart the computer...

thanks.

Well, I once had framerate around 20-30fps with max settings @ 1280x800 on a 9600XT. I'd say something is wrong with your machine. For what it is worth, I don't think World of Warcraft benefits from SLI or Crossfire. It's as though the second card doesn't exist according to some of the flak Blizzard gets in the www.worldofwarcraft.com boards. But despite that, an X800XT, much less a X1900, should destroy World of Warcraft. Iron Forge begone.

well i know the next gen content literally kills the framerate when enabled, cut to about half. I think higher end cards are the only ones that can play with this option, or else frames will be too low, i read somewhere than a single x1900xt struggles when all maxed. Your also pushing the limits by playing it at 1920 x 1200, in my opinion your tomb raider frames are normal, however im not sure. The WoW seems way off though, you should be getting overkill frames even at that res.

Then I started reading this forum gathering opinions as I was looking to replace my 6600 GT. Well, thanks to posters here like Rollo, beggerking, Wreckage and Crusader, I think I've permanently turned to ATI and in the same process also recommended ATI cards to my friends instead of nVidia. Their postings here have done more to market ATI cards to me than any viral marketing ATI might employ.

I'm in love with my XTX, I had a 7800gtx and 6600gt beforehand. The XTX exceeded my expectations in both performance and image quality, and unless nvidia either comes out with a really great G80 compared to R600, I won't be going back, for the image quality issue alone. The picture I get on my monitor is far superior on the XTX

May be because my card is not a SM 3.0 compliant, but I can play the game up to 1024x768 with 6x FSAA and 16x Aniso with framerates between the 40 and the 120, but if I activate Super Sampling I have to turn down to 4x Anti Aliasing to get a nice frame rate (Around the 60's). I can't play the games above 1280x1024 cause the 60Hz refresh rate sucks, my monitor is limiting me.

Yes, Next Gen requires a SM3 card, at least officially. However, you can enable an advanced mode in the setup and force 2.0 shaders (I forget how at the moment). I'd kinda recommend against it though, it wasn't much more than a slideshow on my old 6800GT, and your X800XT would be of similar speed...

But considering my card is the Platinum Edition, running with the core overclocked by mere 7MHz but with a whooping 1180MHz memory, sure will outperforms even the high end 6800 Ultra

Especially with big ticket items. I always check the photo forums prior to purchasing a digi cam, likewise with the Auto forums before a vehicle purpose.

People normally only post their dissatisfaction, rather than their likes, so a decent enthusiast forum can give you give you some realistic feedback.

Blantant Trolls such as yourself stinking up decent forums such as AT however are easily spotted and easily dismissed as useless fodder anyway, so why wouldn't a smart consumer look at user feedback in the form of internet postings prior to purchasing?

The point was that there are going to be people who offend you posting on both sides of any issue, and that it's foolish to let dislike for strangers sway your opinions on purchasing a brand. Let's not turn this into a childish flamewar RBV5.

Does anyone know of a good assasin? This guy shows up everywhere and someone should um "gank" him.
