Firing squad review #2

my current card and this new one are the same EXACT THING.
same rage chip same performance.

i guess we wil have to wait for overclock results.

EDIT i see that once u hit 16x12 thats when everyhting starts changing. except in cod2

i thought cod2 is a heavy shader game? isnt it sopposed to help this game? it does nothing.

Tech Report review. Don't expect much difference in older games that'll probably be limited by the X1900's bandwidth or texture units, both of which are the same as the X1800XL. CoD2 is probably a bit of an anomaly in that it's new but seems texture-bound. FEAR is the only newer game that shows some separation, but it's probably safe to say testing more new games would show the X1900 a decent bit faster than the X1800XL. But, yeah, it's not exactly a revelation in MB.org's benches.

PS - Dongly!

x1800xl all in wonder is cheaper :( but X1900XL does good in FEAR , HDR: Serious Sam 2 , FARCRY HDR and keeps up in COD 2. I thinks its a decent card but the $499 price is too much :( but in upcoming games , the X1900XL will beat the x1800xl easy.

Tech Report Review are a joke :!

its still with BS drivers. I think ATI are behind with the drivers because of the extra driver last year.
I belive they are just to give function at the moment to the card. nothing more.

Yeah its odd how underperforming it is compared to normal X1900 cards.

Its clocked slower than a X1800XL, well below any other X1900 card.

low price + single slot profile...for 1800 performance with TV tuner..

looks pretty good to me.
