Hey guys..
Picked up a retail ATI X1900 AIW 256MB PCI-E. Its the standard ATI branded one.
Pulled my 6600GT, installed this AIW, installed latest drivers, loaded up some HL2. Noticed some odd tearing.
Oh no...
Downloaded ATI Tool. Did an artifact test at default speeds (500Core/480Mem) and it was artifacting like crazy every second.
Dropping the MEM to 450 or so stops it from happening...
Guess its toast? Anyone have any other suggestions before an RMA?
