I know, its an old card, whats the point, etc.
But, I'm just goofin around, and its the only card I have until my replacement arrives.
Anyway, I'm running into a wall w/ my memory OC.
By all the reading I've done many have easily gotten 840+ on default volts.
I've read suggestions of even lowering memory voltages.
I've tried increasing, I've tried lowering..I'm still stuck at ~810 no matter which way I go.
I've removed the Core from the equation by leaving it set at 600 (under default speed).
My concern is: Am I power supply limited? I have a 450W OCZ ModStream which has a 26A [max] +12v rail.
Watching voltage regulator current I'm seeing 27 - 30 Amps.
Occasionally I'm getting a full on hard reset/reboot when I go too far w/ the memory.
What do you guys think? Is my PSU causing this wall/bottleneck for me?
Update: I rcvd my GTX 260 today, and in the same system RivaTuner is showing ~83A [max] under full load (FurMark 191). So, apparently the voltage regulator amperage does not necassarily mean that is what the +12v rail is supplying on its own.
And, fwiw, ocing is a hobby for me, its fun, something I enjoy. Weather its brand new, high end gear or something I'm forced to utilize at the time being.
Now, on to ocing the 260.
