Good question. They are not reviewing it personally I think. Only what they have read off of web sites.

$600, lol. What a rip off. (I'd wait for prices to be closer to the 7800gtx before buying this).

Big heatsink...hmm. oh well.

At least they're available now.

Pretty sure Nv rained on their parade with hopes of a 512 GTX with higher clocks.

As far as I'm concerned, anyone that pays $600 for a video card, whether it's ATI or Nvidia or whatever, is a sucker. Somehow these graphics companies have managed to convince the enthusiast crowd that video cards are worth $500-600. Those graphics companies are the real winners here, not the consumer.

I love how NewEgg reviews have turned into opinions from people who don't actually own the product.

Which is why I think SLI/Crossfire setups are either for the extremely rich, or extremely stupid. And I own a SLI capable mobo (bought for it's other features and not SLI).

i'm not sure about that

a 7800 GT SLI would run $600ish. thats a lot of money but i dont think you necessarily have to be rich to afford it. also, i dont think a 7800GT SLI setup is stupid either...

What a week for the new GTX.

Should be "wait a week..." not "What a week..."

Still, pretty funny though...

I paid $1000 for my Quadro 3400, $2500 for my Quadro 4500, and $100K for my SGI InfiniteReality. That makes the X1800XT look cheap. :)

Some professionals (like me) may need it. Some gamers with too much money on their hands may buy it. Otherwise, I agree with you.
