Hmmmmm

1. It's nice ATI isn't providing any expensive new products that people might increase their consumer debt purchasing!

2. According to early user reports, those who did buy a X1800XL will likely see a significant decrease in their heating bills this winter, which should help reduce the cost of owning it!

3. Some of ATIs execs have been cleared of the charges brought against them!

4. ATIs current implementation of AF looks better!

How's that? ;)

I think we should have an ATi Forum and an nVidia forum. That would reduce the flamewars a bit hopefully. I'm sure that there will always be people roaming to start crap like a few already do (won't mention names), but it might discourage them a little. I hate reading through thread that I want to read and have to filter out half the crap just to read the actual informative stuff.

Why get 2 forums of biased bile when you can get it all in one here. Good idea, just not going to help clear up facts but instead make people lean further towards nV or ATI. What this forum needs is a bit more structure, something to lower the fanboyism of both sides while still having discussions on both major topics.

Besides, where is Matrox, Intel, SiS, VIA etc gonna go?

We all know what you're take is going to be. No need to read it again. You're nothing but a broken record.

People still use those? Other than Intel's integrated graphics, I don't know if I've ever owned any of them.

Well Rollo I thought that
Seriously, as long as it has the best performance I could care less if it takes a 800 watt PSU, an in case air conditioning unit, and eats 4 slots. I only need one slot for the Audigy2 anyway, my rec room could use a little more heat, and I really only care about what it will do for me in online gaming.

You must have a lot of free time on your hands to have gone through all his posts and found that little bit.

I'm glad to hear I'm quoted, I spend a fair amount of effort bringing the news here in my own colorful style.

What I said in 2004 holds true for me today, heat is not an issue for me. If it ever became one, I'd water cool, and if I had to, I'd buy a window air conditioner to augment my central and fashion ductwork to chill my box.

LOL you mean- you bring good new if it's nVidia, and bad if it's ATIs. Also, your views seem to be right in order with nVidia's performance. (I know, I looked it up).

That's one way to put it. I can also think of another, directly related to the forum sticky.

I almost want to see heat get high enough that you do set up that window air conditioner, I can only imagine what your wife's reaction would be.

A person who brings news of any slant is of infinitely more value to the board than someone who brings opinions of other members and their motives.

Ponder that a while.
