I didn't "jump to his defense" but rather pointed out that character attacks against him were not warranted. I then added my reasoning behind why his point was valid, that is all. I don't see how that can be construed as "jumping to his defense" and accused of being the same person on two accounts. Sure Rollo likes using sarcasm and is an nVidia fan, but that knowledge aside, his point wasn't any less valid. Attack the data if you disagree with it, not the person.

Well I like to consider myself neutral although at times I can be mistaken for a fanboy because I'll endorse what I feel is the best technology. We both agree that nVidia has delivered on all it's promises and see eye to eye. Any rational person would or rather should do the same. I would've gladly purchased an X1800XT three months ago if it was available and since you're an even bigger technophile than me, i bet you would've had crossfire by now if ATi had done their job right.

Do they ?

I haven't seen anyone claim that before, and 30% on a benchmark which is also CPU and memory dependent would be a remarkably good overclock.

BTW folks they also managed to overclock a X1800 XT to 1GHz/1GHz.

And that was done NOT with the 'special ATI tool', but with a beta version of ATiTool.

First video card to break the 1GHz barrier. Go ATi!
