X1800XT ASUS or ATI

Im pretty much decided on going Retail on my XT. Mainly for the Warranty and extra software. Ive also decided on ZZF since no invoice in box😉

So, Im looking at the ATI or the ASUS. I understand they should both be a reference card... I guess the difference is warranty and software package. ATI is slim on both, the Asus is better warranty and has interesting software, plus is about 30 bucks cheaper. Seems like a no brainer, but im still wondering if im better going with the Maker Card - ATI, Sure to get working AVIVO etc... Is there any advantage to going with the ATI..

Anyone have the ASUS or ATI... Id appreciate any input. I will finally be ordering by thursday.

By the way...No mention of AVIVO at the ASUS website on the XT.
 
I have my ATI X1800XT and I must say it's performing very well. Doesn't seem to get intensly hot, just warm. I personally would go with ASUS but if your crazy for AVIVO, go with ATI's version if ASUS doesn't support it. For raw performance, ASUS is the way to go.
 
its a damn tough decision. i dont know if im crazy for avivo, i just wanna get everything i can get out of my $550+ card.. i know for sure the ati will offer everything the XT has to offer. but the asus has better software bundle and warranty. dunno bout performance difference...i think they are both reference cards.
