after turning off my monitor for a while, say overnight or something while the computer is on...

when i wake up in the morning and i turn the monitor on...it takes like a good minute or so to get a display...

the screen is black and the power LED's are obviously on...its like the blankscreen screensaver, but i dont have a screensaver set and the power is set to stay always on for the monitor

i've tried both the dvi connectors and it still happens...blank screen for a minute after a long period of being off

none of my video cards done this before...x800xt, x800xtpe, 6800gt, 7800gtx

is something wrong?

also, when alt tabbing out of a game, it'll go to windows desktop and there is always a flash of green for a quick second then all's normal again...does this happen for you too? happened to two x1800xts for me cuz i thot one was defective.

yeah my x800xt was fine, its jes this x1800xt thats giving me problems...

sometimes the display takes so long to show up, i get impatient and just hit the reset switch...then its fine again -_-

I had this issue once when loading up windows, its only done it once touch wood. Im using a vp171b, and a x1800xt. Im using the cat 5.13 drivers and only had this issue since i switched from 5.12. Since this happened ive uninstalled the catalyst control center and install ati tray tools. I suggest you try this becuase i think its a issue with the control center.
Edit: If you install ati tray tools, disable overclocking when you install the program otherwise it wont work.

i only have drivers 5.13 installed

i unclicked the ccc when installing, so i got drivers only

nice to know someone else had the issue, even only once 😛
