Yeah, maybe soon...but I want to see what they'll be like around Christmas, which will be undoubtedly a good time for computer deals. Maybe by then they'll fall into my price range and I can snatch one up, or they'll release an x1800 Pro or some other lower-priced model. :D

Hopefully we'll see some for <350 soon

With 7800GTs as low as $289 AMIR, I imagine you will.

You get what you pay for, I suppose. If you can live with subpar image quality then the GT is a good buy. ;)

I suppose if you're a big time fanboy you'll claim that you have better image quality to justify spending $75+ extra

Fanboy-ism of both sides aside, I think this bodes well for ATI. nVidia fanboys acted like the cards would actually stay at MSRP, and ATI fanboys... well, they had plenty of their own problems.

Lower prices is good for everyone. Gotta love competition and capitalism.

If we're seeing this kind of price drops with limited availability think about what we'll be seeing once they are more widely available, I may be getting a 7800GT or 1800XL instead of 6800GT or X800XL :). Hopefully the XTs will drop as fast too so we can see some real competition price wise because the XT matches the GTX in almost everything else.
