Looks like Keys is again bashing the Op for posting information! The title did not mislead anyone, as the Original Post clearly pointed out that a FEW Xts preorders had been shipped, and that they were still waiting for the bulk shipments. Keys, if you want to start flame wars about people with misleading titles, try it in P and N, because they have titles that are WAY more misleading than this.

This thread is very interesting, and I wonder if this is a sign of what is to come in terms of availibility on Nov 5th.

Looks like the OP changed his title. See the little "edited" stamp?

Its amazing what a question mark can do. Looks like Hacp wants me to come back into the thread for a war. LOL... not gonna happen. You baited the hook, and I stole the bait. Gonna have to cast another line.

Offtopic- the OCuK thread regrading the 512mb GTX is removed.

November is going to be really interesting 😀
Good to hear XTs are finally coming to stores soon.

But still im really dissapointed about ATi's availablity.
I Live in NZ and the fact NO X1 series were available at launch was just really disspointing. After 2 weeks, i can finally find X1800XLs but no X1300 or X1600.. and the XL is expensive as the GTX!!!

The difference is that Nvidia when released their GTXs and GTs it was available straight away, and NOT only in USA but around the globe.

Flaming me for a question mark was "trivial nitpicking". I posted the thread as a question, its only a case of semantics for which I was flamed.

How is he baiting you? He does not agree with you.

(Why do you think everybody is out there to bait you?) 😕

This thread title isnt misleading. First, he posts it in a question. Second, going by what Gibbo says, they are shipping, to him. Do I believe him? Hes a pretty trusted guy at that forum. I guess we'll know for sure next week. It does make sense that ATi is shipping cards to resellers, if the launch date is the 5th of Oct.

Certain people (kensplayer) accuse others of trolling, when they themselves troll. I find that hypocrtical, and ammusing.

too expensive compared to NV. and i heard that the x1800xx series has some shimmering problems too, so why buy ATI?

Really, got a price of a 512mb 7800GTX? And the shimmering is in WoW, which every card shimmers in. Its a game problem, not a video card problem.

The thread title has changed since it came into existense.
Ackmed, I find it hard to believe you can be amused by this at all. If someone posts a thread with misleading title or misinformation (Dingo's title origianlly said "X1800XT already shipping" without question mark.) Then I will complain about it to the OP. The OP had a real problem with me doing that. I don't care if he had a problem with that. He then changed the title by adding the question mark. But not before taking on a serious attitude. I believe all of this was done intentionally or without the proper reading or investigating of the UK site he linked us to. He said himself, he likes to be "different" than everybody else which is more than fine with me, but don't just do it for the sake of being different if you get it wrong. I don't expect an agreement from you because you rarely agree with me, and I you.

If Crazydingo cannot deal with his peers criticism, then he shouldn't post.

You guys need to argue about something more meaningful. 2 pages of insults regarding a release date of a video card... Think about it, and tell me that's not ridiculous.

Here is my first post in this thread Jiffy. Do you think it's insulting?

Quote: "Arghhh. I hate links to other forum threads. Dingo, have any links to retailers in the UK?
And do you mean shipping to retailers? Or to consumers? "

Do you find something insulting about that?

This is actually the first insult given to me from dingo when I was trying to show him something:

Quote: "You bias is as clear as day now. "

No, I don't really think your post was in and of itself insulting. I even see you point. However, your post wasn't exactly positive either, and my point is that it spiralled downwards from there. These threads are turning into trench warfare more often now than ever, and if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

Some of these threads we just need to learn to walk away from them. They turn into he-said she-said bickering, and it makes video a wasteland...

Um, stating the obvious is an insult? And keysplayer, FYI every person is biased. The real part of the problem is also seen by others:

QFT. Its Friday evening, please head on out and have a good time. Wasting your time bickering on forums on weekends is really sad. Like all weekends, I'm out. Have a good time all.

I think you missed my point:

I posted this thread in the form of a question.

no, you didn't. you later edited it (to cover your arse? i dunno).

i can't quite understand why all the trouble to pretend... not like your charade is fooling anyone... it's a small person indeed who cannot admit they might have made an error...

at any rate, if they actually are shipping, anyone know why a north american company is shipping in europe before their own country or the u.s.?
