I was upgrading my drivers yesterday, when something curious happened. I updated my drivers to catalyst 8.8. After rebooting i had ALOT of artifacts on my screen, or corruption if you'd rather call it that. Blocks and lines all over and my computer stops responding after windows has started. I can start it in VGA mode though. I've tried to uninstall the drivers and install some older ones, but nothing i've tried now seems to be working. As soon as i've installed my drivers and restart i have major artifacts again. I've even used Driver cleaner pro in between driver installation to remove any unwanted versions.
Funny thing i've used this gfx card for about a year now (with the same drivers), and never had any problems. I didnt change anything else; no setting nor hardware.
