He's probably talking about the vanilla X1300, but if he's talking about the pro, then I would go with it. If the vanilla X1300, then go with the 6600.

you are wrong if you go by xbitlabs. the 1300pro easily beats the 6600 in bf2, fear, quake4, cod2, and spinter cell. http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/video/display/games-2005.html
Using Newegg as default pricing, the 6600 GDDR2 and X1300pro are very similarly priced and according to that review, similar in performance too. Personally, I don't think either are a good buy for a gamer in that price range. As was suggested, the 6600GT is faster than both and just slightly more money. Heck, the XFX is under $110 shipped today I had the AGP version of this, and it was a good casual gamer, and well rounded too, since it makes a nice MCE card.

The HIS X1600Pro with sweet cooler is a deal right now too. That X800 for $93 shipped is a great card if a c-note is the absolute budget cap though.

I know this is not the original topic but some nice cards for the price are the x800GTO for $93 shipped. What's the difference between an x1600 and an x800GTO? Which one is better? And about my first post. Are there better comparisons?

Out of those two, I'd go for the X800GTO.

bluemaverick, keep your eyes open... posted a couple of days ago in Hot Deals, Monarch had an eVGA 6600GT for $87 after rebate... rebate has expired but I'm sure these deals will come again soon.
