x1000 series: What drivers are y'all using?

I just installed an x1800xt. With Cat 6.4s I had some moving line issues that I did not have
on my x850xt. Read a few forums that said it was because of the 6.4s.

I am now using the 6.3s, and the problem is less, but my 2nd monitor still does it on occasion.

SO I am curious what drivers everyone has had success with. I prefer to use ATI drivers
as they support VIVO and the other card goodies....with Omegas, I was getting a 'new
hardware found' message with every reboot, since the Omegas do not seem to combine well
with the WDM drivers.

But, all driver sucess stories are welcome. Thanks!!

6.4 then overwrite any files that pop up with Chuck Patch. X1800XT.

I just upgraded from a 6800GT/NForce 3 Ultra to X1900XTX/NForce 4 Ultra and at first I was using the Omega driver based on 6.3 without too much trouble on my original XP install, but I started getting frequent BSOD's, so I finally went ahead & did a fresh install with official 6.4's (+ chuck) & am having no problems.

I'm using the 6.4 officials as well, and don't have any problems other then some slight shimmering in BF2 on certain things.

ok...I am sure that I can find this out for myself (so please save the comments lol) but what is the chuck patch, and what does it do....basically why do you use it.

Thanks for all the input. I might try the 6.4s again, but first I have to see how the 6.3s do in CoD2 Oblivion and FEAR

I'm using 6.3's. I'm afraid to go to 6.4's becuase some say it limits OC'ing potential.

You can always rool back.

Question : is thsi chucks patch thing only for HDR + AA in Oblivion or is it for HDR + AA in any game which supports HDR + AA. like maybe far cry.
