x1000 resolution?

On the x1000 resolution, there is a setting for 1680, but that is a little to small, however the next one is 1280x1024 and since this is a 15.4" screen that resolution is stretched out a bit...

So is there a way to like make a custom resolution of some sort? I tried downloading the newest drivers, but that didn't help

Also, I tried changing the font, but too many programs have their own font styles that it's nearly impossible to make everything readable at 1680 res

Any ideas? 🙂

My suggestion: Don't change resolutions on a laptop; it will always suck. Use the native resolution or if you're not happy with it, return it to HP (30 days) and re-order one with a different native resolution.

I second that. Anything but your native resolution will be blurry.

Like DanJ said, return it. Bumping down the resolution is not really an option.

You should always use a lcd in its native resolution. You can do several things that might help: Raise the dpi in the display properties, use cleartype, use large fonts, and so on. If this is not enough this post have more advanced suggestions. Look for posts by chodi. There is also software that can do this for you, ie Liquidview (I think its called). Syumbled across X1000 Forums the other day.
