X-windows Help Pls!

Running FreeBSD 4.6R, latest version of XFree86 (4.2.0 I think, comes with 4.6R).

Trying to configure X via the Graphical Interface...

I am at the main config screen.

Selected MMSeries (Logictech Mouse), clicked on apply, then my cursor shot up to the top of the screen and I cannot move anywhere but the top line of the screen.

On the right hand side is "accesx", which allows me to use the num key pad to move the cursor around, but that has stopped working.

This is my second re-install of the OS, because the last time I went through the setup of X again and chose my mouse, then it locked up. No key combination was useable. Had to hard reset, which fsacked the drive, and took 300 key strokes to say yes to fsck trying to reconnect files.

I am hoping not go through this WHOLE thing again...

Any suggestions on how to get out of the graphical config mode of XFree... the obvious ESC, etc. do not work and I do not want to reset again.

Thanks!

Thank you! It worked, got the same response on the freebsd forums.

Now I am having troubles configuring this older Daytek 15" monitor.

Need to select the proper V rate... tried 50-90 & 50-70 and the screen goes all funky. Now with 50-70, the screen does not go funky, I just get "The XFree86 configuration process seems to have failed. Would you like to try again?"
