Hi all ppl.
I have RedHat 7.1 installed on my comp. I have a small problem. When it installs, it installs the mesa libraries. Those libraries overwrite the XFree 4.0.3 GL libraries. Every time i want to run something that uses OpenGL, it runs mesa's freaking slow software rendering mode. I tried to download the XFree 4.0.3 and overwrite the GL libs, but it didn't work, and it still worked in software rendering mode.

I have NVidia GF2MX, and i am using the XFRee86 NV driver. The NVidia's detonator drivers don't install properly on my system. I installed both the kernel module and the GLX libs, but when i start X, it says that the module was not properly installed. (Of course, i tried to install it manually using modprobe).

The problem is that you are using a video card from a company that does not care about linux at all. Get a better video card and you will have fewer problems.
