Wolverine stabbed Mystique when she was in the likeness of Storm at the Statue of Liberty, near the end of the first movie.

At the end of the movie, did you guys see a "phoenix" shaped shadow in the lake like I did?

I wanted to see more of shadowcat (she's my favorite)... too bad she only have a short screen time. anyone knows who plays her in the second movie?

Thought that as well. It would only make sense, Isn't Phoenix the reborn Marvel Girl..Jean Grey? From what I hear it will be the Dark Phoenix from the Hellfire years. Which will rock. phoenix and wolverine were 2 of my fave mutants growing up. I have heard that Famke Janssen wants to play her as well

I thought the phoenix was pretty obvious and I expected it by the end of the movie. With the glowing eyes throughout, I'll have to watch it again but I'm pretty sure in addition to the fiery eyes that there was a small phoenix in them. Of course Famke Janssen is gonna continue I would hope. I mean I guess they could rewrite the part and put another actress in, but technically she should look similar. If I remember correctly the phoenix looked like Jean grey.
