Acutally they're not as expensive as regular horses. These are around $200 a piece. Some of them go for a lot more but these are all around 6 months old, so they're a little less. Our other "full size" horses cost over $2k (they're show horses).

6 month old miniature horses? How old are your nieces? I forsee trouble. They may be small but you've really got to train them properly or they can do some damage to small children.

The youngest niece is 7 who is very good with horses, she's been riding and training them since she was 4. The middle one is 8 who has the least experience with them, but has ridden quite a bit and trained a little. The oldest is 11 and she's been around them almost all her life too. My mom or sister will be with them at first, b/c a couple of the ponies have attitudes. But the 3 are capable of handling them once they have a little training.
