X-gamer 5.1: EAX/Surround doesn't work

I have only 2 speakers and a subwoofer, but I haven't heard anything different when playing EAX enabled games.

Watching TV, playing DVD movies, etc... - still the same. wtf
What do I need to adjust?
 
Well, EAX is not the same as surround sound.

If you want some general samplings of EAX, try running the Creative EAX demo that installs by default as you load the drivers and software.

Open up your surround mixer program and screw around with the sound effect options--that's some more EAX effects for ya'
