ummm, did you watch any TV before Cloverfield came out?

That stupid commercial was running on every commercial break.

It ran enough to make me not want to see it.

well im sure they WILL release some sort or form of trailer before july 25th.
im just saying they're keeping this under wraps and you don't know anything about it until you see the movie, and that it would be similar to cloverfield in that way

Cool. I liked the first movie and watched the X-Files until Mulder left. Gillian Anderson ftw.

Ditto. Watched most of the first few seasons, loved the movie (and renewed interest in the series) and tried to follow the show. But then Mulder got abducted, the T-1000 came in to fill his boots, Scully got pregnant and the storyarc twisted way out of control. I think I followed the series until *spoiler*hover mouse to read the hyperlink.

Then, I lost track. I am guessing the series ended on an ambiguous note with nothing resolved and more unanswered questions. But yeah. I would totally watch this movie.

I've tried watching the post-Mulder episodes. It felt more like a cop show...then once that new girl came along, it really went to pot. Too many boring characters. Plus Scully not being the skeptic really threw things off-balance.

I wonder what would happen if they put the T-1000 guy in a movie with Keanu Reeves...

I've heard rumors about this for a while. Awesome to see that they came true.

I don't see how they could possibly do anything else after the finale... Do they even work for the FBI anymore?

from what little or rumors i've read, it appears Amanda Peet and Xzibit's characters are FBI agents, and they are encountering some sort of werewolf-like monster and they had to bring back Scully and Mulder back from hiding.

I guess they'll come up with an excuse to re-enlist them or make them visitors to assist with the investigation.

AD Skinner is back. no word on Doggett (Robert Patrick T-1000) or Reyes (Annabeth Gish), those two are highly doubtful.

this probably has very little to do with their mythology arc. which i could appreciate because that's what they been talking about the last 3 seasons of the show. we need more nasty flukeman or eugene tooms monsters!

Sweet. I hate all the alien conspiracy episodes and basically skip them when I rewatch the DVDs.

well the mythology episodes tend to have some of the best acting from anderson and duchovny.
