X-Fi Headphone port?

Is there a special port on the X-Fi Extreme Music for headphones? There is a option to auto detect headphones and even a headphones volume control which does nothing in mixer panel.

Sniper,

what version of the X-Fi do you have?

The Fatal1ty, Platinum and Elite Pro all have headphone ports along with the speaker ports on the back of the card. when you plug into one of these jacks, the software can auto-detect it and change the settings of the card to the headphone specific modes that it has on the fly.

blegh...sorry, im pretty tired.

so the Xtreme Music has only the ports on the back of the card. the front speaker port is the port you want to use for headphones. so the back of the card looks like this, right?

( ) O O O O

From left to right it goes: proprietary I/O port, Center, Rear, Front, Mic

So you plug into the bolded one, the one thats for front speakers and manually set it to headphones.

Hope that clears it up. If you had a platinum, fatal1ty or a elite pro, it would be different as i mentioned above.
