This comes out cheaper once you include tax on the CompUSA deal. And you don't have to wait for a rebate either. So not such a great deal after all.

Or if you want it cheaper and don't mind waiting for a rebate, you can get it here.

Yes, if you consider paying MORE for a product an "excellent deal" then yes, it is an excellent deal.

Show a link to SoundBlaster X-Fi XtremeMusic Sound Card for less than $79.99 plus tax (which is one of the deals listed here) then you have contributed!

If you find a better price, post it. Thank you for doing that! But, don't discourage people from posting again by saying that it is not a hot deal after all. Someone else may be interested in the non-Platinum option.

Um yeah, if you have more than 3 grade math under your belt you'd be able to see that the links I posted are infact cheaper. But if you are in 2nd grade or retarded, I can see that you'd have a problem with money and how tax works.

I like how these fvcking morons accuse me of trolling when I just gave specific links to a cheaper product. WTF?

And yes, your name suits you PERFECT.

Did I fvcking mention the ExtremeMusic card? No. So STFU. And how the fvck is it discouraging to LINK a cheaper deal? Jesus fvcking Christ! Did special ed teachers start allowing PCs with internet connections into their classes now? Because that's my only explanation for the two genius in this thread.

Don't get too excited.

You said "So not such a great deal after all".
That is what could discourage a poster. Not your links.
I am sorry if I did not explain clearly that I was talking about your inconsiderate comment and not your links.

WTF are you talking about? YOU had the problem reading, not me. There was NOTHING inconsiderate about my post. I can't help it if your comprehension skills are lacking. The comment was OBVIOUSLY referring to the Platinum deal since that is the only card I linked. You want to know what is discouraging? Some ass talking sh!t about someone posting a BETTER deal. I hope no one here posts a deal for an X-Fi for $10 or he might be called a troll.

Sorry to have hijack the thread, but it was really not my intention. Good deal on the XTremeMusic.

FIGHT! SPAM! FLAME! Yeaaaaaa! Bring it all on!!!!!!
:D

Anyways, I tried this card out at QuakeCon last year.
The whole "crystalizer" upsample thing is not impressive, IMO. They claim you can make MP3s sound like orginal CDs....but all it ends up doing is making things sound like there is more bass.

However, the sound sound on a regular pair of headphones is cool.... and it works well! Good for gaming if you typically use headphones.

Just get yourself the music edition, save the $$$ and pass on the Fata1ity 64mb ram edition.

Come on jack, it's been a while but apparently you need to be reminded, breath in through your nose, then out through your mouth. Gives you much better volume when screaming at the monitor. lol.

and the vitriol in this post is good enuf reason to post... almost as good as the reactions that my 'choose life' licence plate on my car generates...
