Anyways, I tried this card out at QuakeCon last year.
The whole "crystalizer" upsample thing is not impressive, IMO. They claim you can make MP3s sound like orginal CDs....but all it ends up doing is making things sound like there is more bass.

However, the sound sound on a regular pair of headphones is cool.... and it works well! Good for gaming if you typically use headphones.

Just get yourself the music edition, save the $$$ and pass on the Fata1ity 64mb ram edition.

Come on jack, it's been a while but apparently you need to be reminded, breath in through your nose, then out through your mouth. Gives you much better volume when screaming at the monitor. lol.

but it does produce much nicer sound than the stock setup on my kid's dfi lanparty nf4... this is through a klipsh 4.1 speaker system... and the headphone sound is even better, as mentioned above... and there's none of the hum, pop and click that the onboard stuff seems to pass... and my kid likes the sw package (mixer and stuff) that came with it...

and the vitriol in this post is good enuf reason to post... almost as good as the reactions that my 'choose life' licence plate on my car generates...
