While there are plenty of X-Com clones, with varying degrees of similarity, I know of no games that added the unique features of X-Com Apocalypse. I am primarily talking about the cityscape as opposed to the more traditional global scope.
However, to my knowledge, not a single game has tackled a fully multiplayer experience. There is UFO 2000, but that is only for troop combat, and makes a horrible judge of actual playing ability.
So, are there any games that offer multiplayer down to the routine base/tech management? And I am not talking just X-Com clones, I mean any game that mimics the urban economics/combat/research environment in a strategy game (real-time or turn-based, though I prefer real-time).
