X chromosome is key

I know ATOT typically doesnt care about this stuff, but I figured this had a pretty wide impact.
I never knew that the X chromosome carried genes coding for important brain functions!
I always thought that stuff rested on all of the other 21 chromosomes.
Now this makes me wonder if higher cognitive functioning might be due in some part to gene/sex in addition to the environment.

Bottom line: Dont neglect the importance of X.
 
wow, crazy...we were just talking about the differences between the X and the Y chromosome in my human sexuality class.
 
Of course as this article is written by a woman, there is a HUGE point left out to bias it into suggesting female superiority:

The Y chromosome evolves at a higher rate than any other, including the X, because there is never more than 1 copy propagating, so any flaws show through and are weeded out quickly.

Interesting article, but clearly biased, just because it keeps emphasizing how great the 'girly'-ness of the X chromosome is. Who cares that it's 'girly' nobodoy over the age of 12 giggles when they hear about the X chromosome.
