I'm considering purchasing one of the two. I just wanted to hear some input from current owners or players. Also I am curious to how the online play is for X-Box. Thanks.
 
I love both, but I chose PS2 because of GranTurismo. Basically, get the system with your favourite games. Or both. 😉

What type of games do you like? Thats what I would think about when buying a XBox or a PS2.

I've owned a XBox since launch and its a pretty decent system. It sits a lot of time while my Gamecube gets the most use. I thought for a long time it was a poor purchase, but there have been a few games that made me glad I got a XBox.

I don't have XBox Live so I'm not sure how the online gaming is.
 
Honestly I have all three, and play the Xbox more then both Gamecube and PS2, I can take pictures on Thursday evening (At dorm right now going back home thursday evening) But games like say Need for Speed Underground, its better on Xbox than PS2, better graphics, and fun games. BTW if you do get xbox get halo for sure

No online pay for GT4. I think this will be the death of this game for Sony.

There will be a GT 4 online addon later. I highly doubt no online play out of the box will kill the game. Gran Turismo fans have always been pretty loyal because there aren't too many racing games in the same scope of GT.
 
I have a PS2 and I love it. Glad I didn't get an Xbox. The online play is weaker than Xbox Live but I think it has better exclusives such as Square Enix games and Gran Turismo.
