Later on today I'm buying an x-box, which store has the best deal, does ebgames still have any deals?

I'm buying Halo, and NFL3K.

I chose it over the Playstation 2, basically because I like it better espically the built in HD, ethernet and has better graphics, the playstation 2 is starting to look dated in my opinion and it appears that X-box will have some awesome title on it for awhile to come, Micorsoft is huge their not going to ditch the machine like many of you think they will.
My only disappointments about purchasing it, I wish you didn't have to buy the dvd kit for dvd playback. I wish they had a NCAA basketball game availible, the games generally run a little higher than PS2, and their are much fewer clearance games for the XBOX.

EB has a good deal on trade ins

(Trade in 2 used games for 1 new game)

So they might have a good trade in availabe for credit towards the X-box if
you have any older consoles or games

There aren't any restrictions on this, are there? It's any 2 used Xbox games for any 1 new one... right?

I've gotta an old playstation lying around, with a couple of games that they probably won't even take mostly sports games, but I neve use it so I'll take it in and see if I can get anything for it. I also have some PC games, which apparently they take if you have the box etc....

I think I will go to ebgames, maybe I'll be able to pick up a used version of Halo. I also wanna buy the World Series Baseball but, I think I wait on that one until after the season is over (the price will drop) and I'm tired of playing NFL 2K3. I ussually buy consoles primarily for sports games and leave the other games where I think their best suited on a PC......

I think my store (TN) does this deal for certain games. Madden was one where they were taking trade ins. However, there was a list of games not accepted and it was mainly older sports games and launch games. Could be up to the store.

Well I called back and he says it is now 3 used games for 1 new one. I don't know if I want to do that or not..I only have 6 Xbox games (i was prepared to trade 2 in) and this is the only console I own... (he did say it could be any 3 used games, don't have to be xbox games).

Damn.

I have been playing x-box all day since 3:00 CST, NFL3k is good, it will get better when I get everything down. In the franchise mode it is pretty hard to stay under the cap. Halo is pretty good too, they really use the vibrating thing in the controler quite well, although the game does seem a little repetitive as far as same monsters kinda thing over and over again. Also, the buggy thing is really hard to drive.

This will probably be the last console system I buy, computers are just so much better for everything except sports games anyway.....

I like it so far though but it sure cost a lot of money, I coulda bought a new geforce4 TI and a bunch of games for the amount I spent on the machine, I think the true test will come when the buddies come over to play football.......
