x box controller to PC adaptor available?

Just wondering got a xbox for xmas (not opened yet) is there a way to use the controller for PC games (NFSP)
I know there is one for the ps controller but could not find one for the x box controller.
This should not be hard since the x box controller is usb anyway right?

I want to use the x box controller instead of my sidewinder (freestyle pro) to see if I like the force feed back effect.

ideas ?
I guess drivers may be an issue.
