I have a Jasper unit and after I upgraded to the new dashboard with my after-market 20gig HD, the internal MU disappeared. If I pop the HD off, I still have the new dash but it says I have no memory units available. So, without my HD I can't even make a profile to signin to Live.
After 30 mins with xbox support they first told me this is normal and then they told me it was a defective unit. I am not going to replace it just for this, but since this is a weird glitch I wanted to mention it here.
I tried to delete the system updates (X LB RB X LB RB X) but that didn't help. I also reformatted the 20gig and started over but that didn't bring the internal memory back either.
I should note that before I processed the dashboard update I did have access to this memory. I suppose if I had processed the dash update without the 20gig attached this may not have happened. Too late for that. Or, is there some way to reset the internal memory to factory specs?
The arcade game Texas Hold'em is very glitchy in it's own right and I wanted to try it on the internal memory to see if that might reduce problems with the game. I get pauses and disconnects when I run it off the HD. Otherwise I wouldn't care much about the loss of this little storage space.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might be able to recover the use of this RAM? TIA for any insight and advice.
