I recently built a system around a T-Bird 750 and an Asus A7V. I know all the issues with the board and feel comfortable with it. I will be building another system using some scavenged cards and a Duron. This machine will sit in my kids room and be used mainly for games (ie Quake, UT, Falcon), internet access and homework. I don't want to break the bank, so I am thinking about on-board sound, etc.... I will probably put a GeoForce GTS card in my current system and move my Voodoo3-3500 to the new computer. Would you stick with the A7V or go to something else? The new machine won't be OCd, but I may want to later. I read the review for the new MSI board and it SOUNDS superior to the Asus. I have had good luck with Asus thus far, but this MSI sounds REALLY easy to work with and stable. Any comments, suggestions or recommendations? 😕

I am the one who reviewed the MSI Pro2, need to say more? 🙂

Ok, seriously, if you don't need the ATA100 support (and you have under 4 IDE devices), I think Pro2 is a perfect choice. It should be cheaper than the ASUS, as I see cost can be a concern for you, and probably it is just as stable as the ASUS, if not more.
