WWYD? New hard drive SATA or PATA?

If you were about to buy a new hard drive would you just go for a regular ATA or a new SATA drive if your mb supported SATA?

SATA. Why the hell would I get a PATA HD when I have SATA? That's like asking "Would you get a USB or parallel device?".

sata isnt good enough unless you get raptors. i have 2 180gxps hooked up to serial ata ports with sata adaptors just for the hell of it. i wanted to get rid of the ide cables

Until the prices of SATA drives go down, it is tough to justify them. I mean you can get 160 GB IDE drives for 90 bucks after rebate.
