Yes we know thats considered spamming but the site has no other purpose than to help others find thier friends and families during recent tragic events. Families were seperated during the hurricane and any little bit of comfort helps.

Yes I am the person who created the site. I did a search and found there didnt seem to be a site that would help others find one another in such an event like the recent hurricane.
Every 5 minutes there is someone on TV who is seperated from their family and doesnt know how to find them and wants to know. I created the site in hopes that maybe we can help people find each other and know they are ok. I also have an uncle who we have not heard from as well and dont know the status. Like I said a just knowing someone is OK helps.

I think the major problem is that those thousand in the dome don't have internet access. give it another 2-3 days for it to sort out and for headcounts to emerge.

I dont believe you can use an Apostrophe in a web address. Its also a rediculous thing to ponder given the circumstances of the catastrophe that has occured.

It's not "rediculous" because a site is more likely to receive more donations if it comes across as being run by reputable people who know how to spell.
 
You could always throw some pictures of people crying and hugging family to make people feel sad.

That tends to help sites bring them in. 😀
 
People already have enough to feel bad about they dont need to be reminded. I would prefer the site to have a positive effect and hope when the arrive.

These people who are on television and dont know if their friends and family are alive are not in a position to get to your website. You have time to buy the correct domain name.
 
really cool idea. not sure why people wopuld have net access but not phones or anything else but it is possible.

I'm kind of confused by this too... so if instead of like e-mailing your family, they have to check a site to see if you're alive?
 
Maybe their cell phones are dead. Maybe they didnt bring their phone book with them. Maybe they dont recall the password to their e-mail to contact relatives.

Most people didnt prepare to be out of their homes for more than a day or two. So there is no telling what information they left behind.

Watch the news there are tons of people who have no idea how to get in touch with other family members or if they are alive. Hopefully I can help with the site I created.
