Firefox probably sees how bad gamespy sucks ass, and then commits suicide rather then rendering its vile propaganda.

When I tried to close the window, it did slow down my system tremendously...interesting.

Hey do any of you use All Seeing Eye? I have the trial version installed on a tip a while back from Schadenfroh - it's a cool app.

I get lag on Gamespy...but also on IGN.com. I found the reason why.. its that huge ass Splinter Cell animated ad and both sites have that same ad. Get rid of it with adblock and you'll notice the lag is gone. At least for me anyways. Thats an ad made with flash right?? I never have any issues with other flash stuff with firefox.

Looks like it has to do with the Flash add on the right. Adbock it and Firefox CPU usage drops.

IE seems to play nicer with the Ad, but firefox lags with it.

Whatsitdo?

It's very similar to Kali if you've ever seen that. Basically it keeps track of a bunch of online games so you don't have to use each game's specific multiplayer interface - you just load up ASE and you can keep tabs on a number of games, ie. HL2, BF, etc. I enjoy using it b/c you can see who is playing on a HL server, how many kills they have, etc. before actually joining the game.
