WWW Disabled/Proxy Disabled

Weired problem indeed and I am facing it fo rthe first time. In my WinXP-Pro rig often time webpages appearing with a big statement that "WWW disabled" (e.g ebay.com, everything is fine with a couple of this messages) or "Proxy Disabled" (yahoo index page) and it is happenning with both IE and Firefox 1.0. I have absolutely no clue how did I get this in my system. Under the same LAN all other puters are not showing any of these messages. I tried resetting settings in IE and Firfox, tried disabling antivirus softwar (AVG free edition), disabling firewall (Spygate free edition) but still getting it. For some cases links from one page are not working in the new page. Any remedy for this?
