This website collaborates with local restaurants close to your campus to get you free or heavily discounted food. Just select your state and school and you will be given a list of participating restaurants. Order and you are set. Enjoy!

So with your logic a service can't be a deal? It's discounted food which is a deal for all of those with a student ID.

I haven't seen free food promotions on there for at least a year. Plus, for some reason my selection of restaurants has gone down by 50% over the past three years.

i used to use these guys from time to time when i went to school, but my orders toook waaaaaaaaaaaay longer to get delivered, im sure it varies by the place you order from and the population of your school though.

I've had great results with them in the Boston/Cambridge area. Though I've hardly ever seen discounted food, so don't get your hopes up for that.

But it is easier/faster than calling or going out.

Bummer! I wish they had that kinda stuff when I was in school....early 70s.

I never liked campusfood.com... I haven't seen any discounts and ordering through them often resulted in a much longer waiting time, screwed up orders, or no delivery at all. Apparently, they just fax your order to the restaurant, and many places take a while to process those or ignore them altogether. I guess YMMV.

I agree. IMHO, campusfood.com sucks. Everything on there, at least for my area, is at full price. No discounts, no coupons.. nothing.. just extra fees and longer wait.

Same experience that I've had.

yep like everyone says they suck.......... just use their website to browse the restaurant's menu, then go to yellowpages.com to find their number.

They've got a decent selection at Georgia Tech, and it's a lot easier than trying to track down phone numbers and menus for the individual restaurants. The wait time is a little longer, but it's not terrible. It's been great for getting food late at night when I'm stuck in one of the labs on campus.

From everything I saw, all they do is phone in orders for you.

So basically you pay them to help yourself be fat and lazy and get fatter and lazier.

This is a crap "deal".

No free food, no discounted food seen.

It depends where you are located. Here in Minneapolis, MN I can save 6$ per large pizza from Dominos. Thanx for the post OP.

I usually just save the phone #s of "restaurants" or deli-type places around my campus in my phonebook when i go there the second or third time. It takes 3 seconds and it's extremely fvckin useful rather than calling 411 or tryin' to find the # on the internet. Plus cell phones these days hold like 10000 numbers. I've got at least like 20 or more food places in my phonebook, around my hometown, school & towns around the area.

I used this a little in Blacksburg when it initially launched a while back, but was just easier to call up for delivery or takeout.
