www.AnnualCreditReport.com, FREE Report

considering that linked me to paypal.com... dunno

edit: oh, I did use that a little while ago. seemed to work fine. If you live in the west or midwest it's free. Others have to wait.

I live in Iowa and used it for free. I got all three major bureau credit reports in 5 minutes. Very easy and painless. I say go for it.

I used it. I plan on using it every 4 months, so I can monitor my credit. You don't have to get your report from all 3 agencies at once. The downside is that you have to pay for the actual score to go with the credit report.

yep, i get one from each CR company every 4 months. It's free, for me, and allowed me to dispute false claims and clean up everything else.

I used it the very day it was available for California.

They confirmed what I already knew-- I don't exist. One of the companies didn't know me at all.

This is the result of not borrowing money, I guess.

well i just got mine checked but i didn't get the actual SCORE.. sort of a downer, but oh well. The only info i got were the credit cards that active and the inquiries companies have checked up on me.

FREE will only get you partial information. 🙁

My thoughts exactly. But you can't do anything about the score so you don't need to know it. You CAN do something about misinformation on your report - thus that is what you need to see.

You can check your credit report and score yourself as often as you want without any harmful effects. If you have some company (like a bank or a CC) check for you, it will harm you if you do it too often in over a prolonged period (that is you can have many checks without harm within a few weeks, but not within a few months).

And yes, I used that website. I plan to use it once every March for all three companies. I don't want one or two companies with bad information for months just so I can delay getting the report.
